A native of Tampa, Florida, Ryan Fowler has been coaching shot put and discus at Ravenwood since 2013. A two time state champion in discus, he played football at Duke University, where he earned a Bachelors in Sociology (2004) and a Masters in Business Administration (2012). He played seven years in the NFL, including stints with the Cowboys, Titans, and Jets, and was the Cowboys Special Teams Most Valuable Player in 2006. In addition to coaching throws, he serves as Ravenwood's defensive coordinator and teaches astronomy and physics. His athletes have earned All State in both the shot put and discus throw.
